My nan Doris was a real character, she was the mother of nine children, eight girls and one boy.
Over the years I didn't see much of my Nan due to different circumstances, but thankfully I had the last five months of her life to spend quality time with her, I am extremely grateful to have had this opportunity, as in these five months I grew very attached to my Nan, and realised what an exceptional character she really was.
In the last few days of her life she had all her family around her and I truly believe that this brought great comfort to her.
I know that she is now at peace with my grandad, Edgar Mason, and that they will both be keeping a caring eye on their first great great grandaughter, baby Lillyhanna.
